On Sept 17th, 2019 we hosted our kick-off event for the 2019-2020 year at the beautiful Faculty Club on the University of Alberta campus grounds. The venue overlooks the Edmonton river valley, and with the leaves beginning to change colours as the Fall season rolls in, it was a lovely time to gather for a night of fellowship.
At the kick-off event we relayed some information to our members about what is upcoming and new for this year. The next event will be our Paint Night on October 8th at Hudsons in West Edmonton Mall. Following that, we will be hosting our Initiation Meeting in November. And, our annual Christmas Charity Luncheon is scheduled for the first week of December. As you already know, the Edmonton Pond was the proud recipient of the Gordon Crowther Charity Award, which we accepted at the most recent 2019 Convention in Indianapolis. One of our duties as the recipient is to put together a committee to decide next year's award winner. If you are interested in participating on the committee please email one of our Exec Committee members, and they will pass along your information to the chair of our Selection Committee.
