Our annual Blue Goose Edmonton Pond charity gala was hosted this year on May 11, 2019 at the River Cree Hotel. It was a sports themed event, and we encouraged attendees to wear their favourite sports jersey for a more relaxed evening of fellowship and fun.
Over 120 people came out to support the fundraising endeavours for our chosen charity: Canadian Tire Jumpstart. This non-profit organization helps children get involved with sport by providing them with equipment, registration fees, and unique team activities.
Through the fundraising efforts at the gala, including both the silent and live auction, together we raised $11, 276 for Jumpstart. We were very happy to present this cheque to our friends at Canadian Tire, and we know every little bit helps to give these kids opportunities that they may not have otherwise.
Congratulations to PMLG Mike Sherban and Gander Stephanie Muddle who were the co-chairs of our 2019 Gala Committee, and who did a fantastic job helping our pond host such a successful event!
